There is a sizeable Indian population where I live, and a lot of people have put up Christmas lights and candles for Diwali. I may hate winter and its evil attendant weeks on either side, but I love the sight of lights in the dark on a cold night.

I was going to say that I don't think you need that comma there in the title of "Paint It, Black", but then I looked it up and apparently, you do! Queer.

I didn't like Under My Thumb, either, until I realized that the lyrics imply that, until recently, the girlfriend treated the "protagonist" of the song the same way. So they take turns being skeevily controlling sociopaths towards each other. It's sharing!
